100 Years of Bandura’s Chapel: A Scientific and Practical Conference on the Anniversary of the Famous Collective

One of the important initiatives of the International Bandurist Forum is the holding of a scientific and practical conference devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Bandura Capella.

Delegates of the forum – performers, scientists, masters of musical instruments – will come to Kyiv from 4 continents of the world to present their scientific intelligence, to tell about the development of bandura art in different countries, to share performance experience.

The theme of the conference is devoted to the actual issues of the genre of the Bandura chapel from 1918 to the present, the creations of well-known and unknown masters of the past – the founders and heads of the chapel, peculiarities of performing on traditional instruments, choral singing, conducting and repertoire traditions, problems of restoration of musical sources and instruments.

The program of the conference provides for a series of master classes from renowned world performers and educators, including Oleg Mahlay (USA), Julian Kytasty (Canada), Lyudmila Fedorova (Ukraine), Victor Mishalow (Canada), and also masters of musical instruments Volodymyr Voyt ( Ukraine), Andriy Birko (USA), Mykola Tovkaylo (Ukraine) and David Contreras (Argentina).
